Since Pastor Daniel wasn’t able to share his message with everyone at second service, here is a short summary of the message titled “How to Find 5 VIPs” before house church tomorrow.
I hope that this will be of encouragement to you as you pray over the list of five VIPs to share with your house church members tomorrow. Below are the major points:
• First and foremost, we must share our Father’s heart.
Pastor Daniel shared in his message last week that true love always tries to understand the other person’s heart. Our Father’s heart is simple: for the dead to be alive and for the lost to be found. So the most important thing that we can do as one body of Christ is to long for, together with our Father, our lost brothers and sisters to come home.
• Second, we must be consistent in our prayers for our VIPs.

By praying consistently for our VIPs, we can begin to share God’s heart towards our VIPs. Constant prayer results in a desire and conviction to surrender our time, resources, and energy to love on and care for the VIPs all around us.
• Third, we must proactively search for the VIPs in our communities.
Prayer alone is insufficient to bring the VIPs in our communities back home to our Father. Supplement prayer with proactive action on your part to invite your VIPs—Catholic, Buddhist, Muslim, Atheist—to house church and ANF.

VIPs are all around us, but Pastor Daniel encouraged us to focus on serving those VIPs currently in DFW. I hope and pray that each of our house churches would be a loving spiritual family and a place of refuge for those brothers and sisters looking for a place called home.
• Fourth, we must remain alert for God’s perfect timing.
Some VIPs are longing for community. Some are longing for hope. Some are resistant to all our invitations to join house church and church but suddenly go through a difficult period in their lives where they start longing for something bigger than themselves.
So we must be persistent in our prayer, patient in our waiting, and wise in discerning God’s perfect timing to intervene. Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

• Fifth, we must not be timid in sharing the Gospel with our VIPs.
2 Timothy 1:7-9 says, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.”
Sharing about the Gospel with our VIPs may be the greatest demonstration of our love and care for them. So there is no need to be timid about sharing our faith, knowing that God desires for all people to be saved and share in a relationship with Him.
