Our Father’s Heart

Despite years of dedication, commitment, and sacrifice by the older son in the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32), the father was left unloved because the older son didn’t care about his father’s heart. Even though the older son did seemingly good things for his father, his actions were ultimately Pharisaic and for himself.

True love always tries to understand the other person’s heart.

What is our Father’s heart?

Is it not for the dead to be alive and for the lost to be found?

Let’s try to be different from the first son, not only remaining with our Father and serving him diligently and sacrificially with commitment and dedication but also knowing His heart and waiting together with Him for our lost brothers and sisters to return home.

I want to encourage you all to proactively pray and think about those who are lost around you and make a list of five VIPs that God wants you to reach out to this year.

Next Friday, February 17th, share your list of five VIPs in your house church gathering. As a church, this is the most important thing that we are called to do.
