Our Donations from Thanksgiving Offering for the Poor
Hi, ANF! Starting two years ago, our church started collecting Special Thanksgiving Offering for the Poor, with the very specific purpose of helping the poor, the orphaned, the widowed, and the marginalized across the world. I am so grateful for God giving us this…
Prayer for Agape Missions Team
Hi, ANF! In the first century, the church in Antioch sent Paul and Barnabas on missions with prayer and fasting. Paul and Barnabas’ missions were not private missions but corporate missions that involved the efforts of the entire congregation. Some, like Paul…
Our Father’s Heart
Despite years of dedication, commitment, and sacrifice by the older son in the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32), the father was left unloved because the older son didn’t care about his father’s heart. Even though the older son did seemingly good…
New Beginning - 2023
Good morning, ANF Family! I want to share with you what I read this morning in my devotional time. A New Beginning! We must learn to live each day, each hour, yes, each minute as a new beginning, as a unique opportunity to make everything…
2022 Thanksgiving Offering Praise Report
In my Thanksgiving message last year, I wrote that our lives as Christ followers are paradoxical. God makes us strong when we are weak. God gives us lives of righteousness when we die to our sins. God lifts us up when we humble ourselves. God fills us…
2022 Thanksgiving Offering
During this past Sunday’s message, I urged you all to give a special Thanksgiving Offering to the poor. Similar to last year, I want to suggest you all to give either (a) 1% of your annual income or (b) 10% of your annual expense for food, entertainment, travel,…

Hosting House Church
For the greater part of the last four years, our shepherds have hosted house church, opening up their homes and preparing meals every Friday night. I asked them to do so because I wanted them to be good examples of how to serve and sacrifice. In…
How to Prepare the Opening Prayer for Sunday Corporate Worship
During opening prayer, I sometimes hear a long prayer for me, especially for my eyes. Even though I appreciate your love and concern for me, I often get worried about how visitors and non-believers will think of our opening prayers…
Chapter II of ANF’s Story
We are constantly attracted to, moved by, and inspired by the story of Jesus. In His story, we find love, hope, and purpose. His story has many chapters. 1,189 chapters to be exact. Not every chapter contains a story of success and joy. Some chapters…
Our Commitments
Good morning, ANF! How was Sunday Corporate Worship for you yesterday? I just want to take a moment to appreciate everyone’s efforts to make it all happen. I missed being able to see all of your faces through Zoom, but I hope that it was a…
The Valley of Vision
O LORD GOD, Thou art my protecting arm, fortress, refuge, shield, buckler. Fight for me and my foes must flee; Uphold me and I cannot fall; Strengthen me and I stand unmoved, unmoveable; Equip me and I shall receive no wound…
Assessing our Church Lives
During bible study yesterday, our youth had some time to assess their church lives in seven different areas. Each of them were asked to give themselves a score ranging from one to five to the following questions: (1) How involved are you in your church…
COVID-19 Guidelines
Even though our church has decided to resume Sunday Corporate Worship in person starting this coming Sunday, June 21, 2020, the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases continues to increase, and the risk of infection seems higher than ever before…
One Body, Many Members
Romans 12:4-5 says “For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” I think we could have a better understanding of…
